Remember World Book Day on Thursday 1.3.18

A big thank you to everybody for bringing your children safely to Play Group today.  We have had a lovely time playing in the snow!

Just look at our foot prints.  We made snowballs and a snowman.

We made eggy bread today.  We had to whisk the eggs then dip bread in the egg before we cooked it in the frying pan.  It tasted delicious!

Remember World Book Day on Thursday 1.3.18  Please come dressed as your favourite story book character!

This week the Caterpillars are looking at the book Toddle Waddle and the Butterflies are looking at The Blue Balloon.  We are continuing to learn the nursery rhymes Baa Baa Black Sheep and Little Boy Blue!

This week we are still thinking about the colour blue.  We found lots of different objects around the room that were blue.

Today we have been thinking about squares!  We used cubes to print squares on blue square paper with blue paint.  We had to be very careful not to smudge the paint.

At carpet time we looked at circles and squares.  We put all the squares in one basket and all the circles in another.

Monday 19.2.18

Welcome back after half term!

We had a lovely start to the day celebrating Chinese New Year.  We dressed up in Chinese clothes, did a Chinese dragon dance, looked at Chinese magazines and newspapers, tried to use chopsticks and tasted spring rolls, prawn crackers and noodles.

Later in the session we enjoyed playing Nursery Rhyme Lotto.  We had to listen carefully to a cd, name the nursery rhyme then match the picture card to the one on the board.  We had to think very hard.

What will we do tomorrow?
