Thursday 8.2.18

Remember school closes tonight and re-opens on Monday 19.2.18.  Have a safe and happy half term everyone!

We started the day by playing with dinosaurs.

We celebrated Pancake Tuesday early as we are off school next week for half term.  The pancakes were delicious!

Wednesday 7.2.18

Just a reminder to all parents and carers that Thursday is a non-uniform day and that Friday is a training day so school will be closed.  The following week is half term so school will re-open on Monday 19.2.18

We have had another busy day in play group.

Look at how we can blow bubbles in the paint to make our bubble prints.  We used red paint.

During hall time we listened to music and danced with pom-poms!

Today we made junk models.

This morning we had fun in the snow!  We made lots of different marks, made foot prints, pretended to skate and made snowballs.

Today we thought a little bit more about the colour red and made some red collage.

Monday 5.2.18

This morning we played a picture lotto game called Red Dog, Blue Dog.  We had to think very hard about both colours and object names.

Continuing our red theme, we had messy play with jelly today.  It was very cold and sticky.

This afternoon we had fun on the bouncy castle and rolling some of the soft play equipment

Friday 2.2.18

Today we went to the shops to buy some jelly.  We looked very hard to find it and then we gave the lady our money.  When we got back to school we were so tired we had to have a rest!

When we got back from the shops we made strawberry jelly.  Guess what colour it is.

Continuing with our red theme we enjoyed drizzling and spreading red glue.  This helps with our hand eye co-ordination and also helps to develop our fine motor skills.

More of our friends from Y6 came to read to us today.

We like to read each other stories too.

Cath the cook gave us some biscuits for our morning snack.  They tasted delicious.

Yesterday some of us brought books in to swap for different books.  It took a long time to choose but we helped each other!  We’re looking forward to reading our new books.

Thursday 1.2.18

Today we made chocolate crispies.  We melted some chocolate then poured some rice crispies into a big bowl.  Next we stirred the melted chocolate into the crispies until they turned brown.  The we put them in cake cases.  When the chocolate had hardened we ate them. They were delicious!

Two boys from Y6 came and read some more stories to us.

This afternoon we enjoyed washing some toys in lots of lovely soapy water!
