Today we had more new starters come for their visit. Later we had fun outdoors with the bubbles!
Thank you to all the grown ups who stayed with their children to decorate eggs and hats. It is greatly appreciated by the staff and the children!
Today we welcomed two new starters and children who are starting after Easter came for their visit.
We had a busy day playing in the sunshine outside and listening to stories indoors.
Tomorrow is your last opportunity to join in with Easter activities with your child. You are welcome to stay for a short time at the start of the session.
Just another busy day in play group! Today we had some of our new intake who will start after Easter come for a visit. We were very busy digging for worms, digging in the sand, playing with the animals and painting. Oh and don’t forget making tea in the home corner!
What a lovely time we had today! Thank you to the adults who came and worked with their children on Easter activities. We made rabbit ears, rabbit and chicken shaped sandwiches and decorated Easter bonnets and eggs. If you couldn’t make it today there is an opportunity for you to stay on Friday!
Remember parents are welcome to stay for the first 30 minutes of the session tomorrow and Friday to decorate eggs or make hats with their children.
Some of us started the session by reading the book “Maisie goes to the library.” We then visited our school library. We looked at the books and pretended to scan them and issue them on the computer!
We went in the hall again and had fun climbing on the benches and jumping off!
This week the Caterpillars are reading Old McDonald had a farm. They are thinking about animal names and the sounds that they make. The Butterflies are reading “Wow!” said the owl which is all about different colours that the owl sees when she stays awake through the day!
We started the session by playing with some yellow play dough. It was very squishy and squashy!
Later we enjoyed mark making with shaving foam. it was very sticky!
We started the session by making scrambled eggs. They tasted delicious.
We continued with our green theme and made some green collage pictures.
We started the session by going into the hall. We practised throwing and catching the big balls. Then we had fun kicking the balls around the hall!
Today we made green play dough. We mixed flour and salt with a little bit of oil, some water and some green paint. We had lots of fun playing with the dough afterwards.
We had a visitor this morning. It was an enormous spider ! We called him John. After we looked at him we took him outside, put him beside the drainpipe and sang Incy Wincey Spider.
Today we had time using the iPads! We used simple counting and sorting programmes to help develop our mathematical skills.
