Wednesday 28.3.18 and Thursday 29.3.18

The staff wish you all a safe and happy Easter and look forward to seeing you back at play group on Monday 16th April!  Our topic next half term is all about growing!  Watch this space to see what we get up to!

We have had a busy last few days of term.  We have been welcoming new starters and saying good bye to children who are moving to nursery.  We have been making magic potions and wands.  Some of us went to the Easter disco and had an amazing time.  Many thanks to all parents/carers for your help and support.

Thank you to all the grown ups who stayed with their children to decorate eggs and hats.  It is greatly appreciated by the staff and the children!

Happy Monday!

Today we welcomed two new starters and children who are starting after Easter came for their visit.

We had a busy day playing in the sunshine outside and listening to stories indoors.

Tomorrow is your last opportunity to join in with Easter activities with your child.  You are welcome to stay for  a short time at the start of the session.

Just another busy day in play group! Today we had some of our new intake who will start after Easter come  for a visit.  We were very busy digging for worms, digging in the sand, playing with the animals and painting.  Oh and don’t forget making tea in the home corner!

Wednesday 21.3.18

What a lovely time we had today!  Thank you to the adults who came and worked with their children on Easter activities.  We made rabbit ears, rabbit and chicken shaped sandwiches and decorated Easter bonnets and eggs.  If you couldn’t make it today there is an opportunity for you to stay on Friday!

Tuesday 20.3.18

Remember parents are welcome to stay for the first 30 minutes of the session tomorrow and Friday to decorate eggs or make hats with their children.

Some of us started the session by reading the book “Maisie goes to the library.”  We then visited our school library.  We looked at the books and pretended to scan them and issue them on the computer!

We went in the hall again and had fun climbing on the benches and jumping off!

Monday 19.3.18

This week the Caterpillars are reading Old McDonald had a farm.  They are thinking about animal names and the sounds that they make.  The Butterflies are reading “Wow!” said the owl which is all about different colours that the owl sees when she stays awake through the day!

We started the session by playing with some yellow play dough.  It was very squishy and squashy!

Later we enjoyed mark making with shaving foam.  it was very sticky!
